About The Position
MAIN FUNCTION: To administer hair care to female residents of the Home at their request. REPORTS TO: Administrator DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Schedules appointments for those residents desiring hair care in the beauty shop. Performs duties related to routine care of female residents such as washing, cutting, drying, etc. as requested by the individual resident or the residents family. Will administer rinses, tints or permanents at the request of the individual resident or the family of the resident Is responsible for the sterilization of equipment used in the beauty shop. Transports residents back and forth from their respective units, whenever necessary. Will perform manicures and do eyebrow arches upon request from the residents. Records services which she provides for each individual resident and maintains bookkeeping records on same. Will perform other duties as necessary in the Beauty Shop. CONTACTS: Residents, employees of other departments, family members of residents and occasionally visitors. JOB HAZARDS: Minor exposure to falls on slippery floors. Contact with hair solutions.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed cosmetologist in the State of New York.
