About The Position

We are looking for happy energetic stylists with upbeat personality, to join our fun/happy team at Sharkey's Cuts for Kids, located in Colonie NY. Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids is a salon for kids ages 0-14. Our mission is to WOW our clients from the minute they arrive. The ideal candidate must have a strong background with creativity for providing exceptional haircuts and styling services to our clients (kids and their parents) . This role requires someone who naturally smiles, has a friendly nature, an upbeat, positive attitude, and a commitment to providing an unforgettable, fun, and exciting experience for each of our clients. Must have the ability to listen and communicate with clients to ensure their complete satisfaction. Must have commitment to maintaining high standards practices and cleanliness of salon. Hair Stylist/Barber Responsibilities: Provide full salon services, including hair cutting, shampooing, blow drying, and styling. Ensure all treatments meet high-quality standards. Provide exceptional client experience. Keep on top of current hair-cutting and styling trends. Listen and communicate clearly with clients to deliver the highest level of service. Educate clients on retail products that are best suited to their needs. Ability to work with kids. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere. Maintain cleanliness of the salon, organized and disinfect workstations and entire salon in order to adhere to all the health and safety regulations. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere. Ability to utilize salon software for appointment scheduling and client management.

Requirements

Must have an active Cosmetology license in New York State
Enjoy and love working with kids and families
Must have a natural smile and upbeat attitude with a commitment to providing an unforgettable fun and exciting haircut experience for each of our customers (children and parents)
Ability to listen to and communicate with clients to ensure complete satisfaction.
