About The Position

Stilo Hair Design is seeking a Hair Stylist Assistant to support and coordinate the activities of hairdressers and personal service workers. This role involves assisting in various salon operations, ensuring cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience working in a hair salon, spa, or related business (preferred).
• Must have a current and valid Cosmetology License.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Customer service skills are required.
• Some management skills or leadership experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising and coordinating activities of hairdressers and staff.
• Keep work stations clean and sanitize tools such as scissors and combs.
• Bleach, dye, or tint hair using applicator or brush.
• Cut, trim, and shape hair or hairpieces based on customer instructions.
• Schedule client appointments.
• Update and maintain customer information records.
• Assign work schedules to ensure quality and timely delivery of service.
• Observe and evaluate workers' appearance and performance.
• Train workers in proper operational procedures and company policies.
• Resolve customer complaints regarding worker performance or services rendered.
• Recruit and hire staff members.
