About The Position

Are you a cosmetology student who’s excited to turn your passion for hair into a real, successful career? The Hair Stylist Apprentice role at FS Cut & Color is your opportunity to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, supportive salon environment—while preparing for licensure.
As an apprentice, you’ll work closely with salon leadership and experienced, licensed professionals who are invested in your success. You’ll assist the salon team, support services as permitted by state law, and learn what it truly means to deliver an exceptional guest experience—one that keeps clients coming back and asking for you by name.
This role is all about education, teamwork, and growth. You’ll develop professional habits, practice guest consultation and hospitality, recommend professional hair care products, and begin learning how to build a strong future guest base through referrals and salon promotions—all while following FS Cut & Color standards and procedures.
A key part of your journey will be active participation in the FS Cut & Color Pro Lab. This structured training program combines in-salon learning, mentorship, at-home study, and certification completion to prepare you for the real-world demands of life behind the chair.
This apprenticeship is more than a stepping stone—it’s a launchpad. It’s designed to help motivated cosmetology students confidently transition into a licensed stylist role and build a long-term career with FS Cut & Color.

Requirements

• Must be actively enrolled in cosmetology school
• 90% or higher attendance (verifiable)
• B or higher GPA (verifiable)
• Ability to perform services permitted by law prior to licensure
• Employment as a licensed stylist begins only after passing state board exams and receiving a Cosmetology License (CL)
