About The Position

All our salon managers and hair stylists love cutting hair, connecting with customers, and working in our warm, welcoming environment. - Our goal at Buena Vista Great Clips is to be among the top 10% of Great Clips franchises nationally. - Your goal is for your salon(s) to be among the top 10% in your local market. To help you and your salon team deliver a great haircut experience, we train you on a haircut process made of 5 steps. We have been perfecting “the 5 Steps” for years and know that this process delivers great customer satisfaction and great earnings for our stylists. Your job is to ensure you and all stylists deliver these five steps with professionalism, so customers come back over and over again. Here’s the list and if you don’t know them already, you’ll learn the details when you join: Step 1. Greet the customer and introduce yourself Step 2. Review previous haircuts and connect through the haircut consultation Step 3. Engage to create the cut and talk about hair care and products Step 4. Ask the customer to confirm satisfaction Step 5. Thank the customer and invite them back Other parts of your job including recruiting and retaining talented, caring for stylists with a positive attitude; checking your personal and salon performance daily, weekly, and monthly. Make sure you understand your performance and our goals for you. Work with your manager to improve and earn higher pay as your performance improves. You will measure your success based on a number of key performance measures provided in your detailed position description you will receive upon joining the company. Requirements

  • Current cosmetology license in good standing
  • Dedication to great customer service
  • Commitment to follow and role model the Great Clips 5 Steps to Customer Care
  • Ability to cut hair for an extended period and provide quality haircuts in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to listen and understand what the customer wants
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively resolve customer issues
  • Effective employee management skills - recruiting, training, development, motivation and retention
  • Ability to lead a team committed to company goals and values
  • Ability to read and speak English
  • Reaching: extending hand(s) and arm(s) primarily at or above the shoulder
  • Standing: particularly for sustained periods of time
  • Be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Repetitive motions: substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers
