Holidays are the heart of belonging. The JFCS Hag Sameach (“Happy Holidays”) program ensures that families in the Twin Cities in the Jewish and broader communities can celebrate these holidays with dignity and joy. Hag Sameach provides personalized holiday gifts, ritual items, and household necessities to families and individuals who are in need. We serve the community each year for Passover and Winter Holidays, as well as year-round through our Beyond The Holidays program. In 2024, Hag Sameach served 316 individuals for Passover and 813 individuals for the Winter Holidays. The Hag Sameach Coordinator is responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Hag Sameach program, bringing a values-driven vision that centers the dignity and autonomy of participants and their families. This role builds collaborative partnerships with local organizations and synagogues to enhance impact and reach. The Coordinator recruits, manages, and mobilizes hundreds of volunteers, fostering meaningful engagement activities and maximizing volunteer contributions. This position also manages warehouse donation inventory, oversees client referral processes, and supports the work of an active volunteer steering committee. This position requires a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend availability. The role averages 25 hours per week, with more hours during peak holiday program times and less hours during off seasons. Wage and Benefits Package: $27.00 hourly rate.
