About The Position

The Hadoop & ETL Developer at BCforward is responsible for supporting production activities in the Treasury ADS environment. This role involves understanding design requirements, proposing technical solutions, and resolving business and technical problems in real-time. The developer will engage with various teams, including information architecture, to deliver high-quality solutions and improvements while managing multiple projects concurrently.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience developing ETL solutions using tools like Informatica or SSIS.
• 3+ years of experience with Hadoop, Spark, Impala, Hive, and Python.
• Strong working knowledge of ETL, database technologies, and big data processing.
• Experience with the Cloudera Hadoop Ecosystem including Hadoop FS, Hive, Impala, Spark, Kafka, and Oozie.
• Proficient in Unix shell and Perl scripting.

Nice To Haves

• Good understanding of the end-to-end process of the application.
• Familiarity with upstream, database model, data processing, and data distribution layers.

Responsibilities

• Support production (L3) in Treasury ADS by understanding design and proposing solutions.
• Engage in BAU support activities including analysis, coding, and driving development activities at offshore.
• Work on multiple projects concurrently and take ownership of deliverables.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand requirements and design solutions for real-time issues.
• Identify gaps in technology and propose viable solutions.
• Ensure adherence to defined processes and quality standards.
