About The Position

The Early Education Center Principal at the Los Angeles Unified School District is responsible for leading and providing quality early learning experiences for children aged 2-5, including those with special needs. This role involves supervising instruction, providing professional development for staff, and ensuring compliance with educational standards and regulations. The principal will also manage the center's budget, payroll, and student information systems, while facilitating transitions to kindergarten and building strong community partnerships.

Requirements

• At least three school years of successful full-time service as a teacher (Grades K-3) or in an administrative/supervisory position in a public school child development program, licensed child day care center, preschool, or elementary school (Grades K-3).
• A valid California Administrative Services Credential authorizing service at the preschool level or a Child Development Program Director Permit.
• An earned master's degree or advanced degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• 3.3 multicultural education coursework.

Nice To Haves

• Conversant with California Preschool Foundations and the needs of Pre-K English Learners.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise instruction and provide professional development to program staff.

• Salary range of $126,027 - $156,879 per year.
