About The Position

This is a two-year, short-term opportunity to join a leading conservation organization committed to restoring and protecting natural habitats and ecosystems. In this role, you'll make a meaningful impact by supporting hands-on conservation work, including biological inventories, monitoring efforts, land management projects, and native seed collection. You'll also gain valuable technical experience by working with database programs and GIS to analyze inventory data and report findings that directly inform conservation decisions. To further support your professional growth, we will provide training and assistance to help you obtain a USDA Pesticide Operator's License and participate in prescribed burn crew training, equipping you with in-demand skills essential to effective land management. This position offers a unique blend of fieldwork, technical learning, and professional development for those passionate about conservation and stewardship of natural resources. What are we looking for? Someone beginning their career within this field with a bachelor's or master's degree in either biology, ecology, zoology, or another natural resource related field. However note, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be substituted for a degree. For your safety and those around you, we require applicants to have a current, valid driver's license and complete a pre-employment drug screening due to driving being essential to the job as well as being able to frequently lift up to 50lbs.

Requirements
