The Habilitation Specialist is responsible for the direct supervision and monitoring of functional training programs, including community living, home living, academic, vocational, and other related areas. This role involves securing NOVA employment contracts for individuals served. Performing administrative tasks as assigned by the Qualified Professional or other supervisors as assigned. The Habilitation Specialist organizes and maintains the structure and continuity of a dynamic day program by developing and implementing daily activities, structured schedules, and individualized goal training for assigned participants. The position supports the Qualified Professional in ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating program activities, maintaining accurate documentation, and promoting overall operational efficiency within day program services. As a leader in day program operations, the Habilitation Specialist also plays a key role in staff development, providing ongoing support and coordination of training efforts within the day program setting.
