About The Position

The Habilitation Specialist 1 position involves the development, documentation, and implementation of Residential Habilitation Services for individuals living in state-operated community residences. Under the supervision of the Habilitation Specialist 2, the Residential Habilitation Coordinator will work with other residential staff to ensure service delivery is focused on Valued Outcomes. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive habilitation service plans, providing training and technical assistance to residential staff, participating in survey processes, maintaining residential habilitation files, providing direct services to individuals, and conducting clinical meetings.

Requirements

• In title Habilitation Specialist 1, Grade 14.
• Eligible for 70.1 transfer by way of current permanent status in a comparable title.
• A bachelor's or higher-level degree in a human services field.

Nice To Haves

• QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disorder Professional) designation.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Residential Habilitation Services for individuals in community residences.
• Create comprehensive habilitation service plans based on individual Life Plans.
• Provide training and technical assistance to residential staff on habilitation plans.
• Participate in compliance surveys and peer reviews.
• Maintain and update residential habilitation files.
• Advocate for clinical services for individuals.
• Conduct clinical meetings and facilitate assessments.
