About The Position

The Habilitation Specialist 1 will function as a program clinician responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of Staff Action Plans and services for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves direct provision of Day Habilitation services, oversight of direct care staff, and ensuring compliance with billing and documentation requirements. The position requires flexibility in work hours and the ability to transport individuals across various locations.

Requirements

• Must be in title or on the civil service eligible list for this location OR be eligible for transfer under section 70.1.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Medical certification and SCR/CAPA clearance required.
• A Bachelor's or higher-level degree in a human services field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in community mental health or rehabilitation counseling.
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities and related services.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Staff Action Plans and services.
• Provide direct Day Habilitation services to individuals.
• Oversee direct care staff in the delivery of services.
• Ensure correct implementation and oversight of billing requirements and associated documentation.
• Attend Life Plan meetings and provide clinical input and documentation.
• Drive to various locations and transport individuals in multiple sized vehicles.
