About The Position

ProSidian Seeks a H2C Technical Publication Communications Specialist – Tank and Pipeline Integrity (TAPI) for Program Support on a Exempt 1099 Contract. This position is contingent and generally located across the CONUS - Richland, WA, supporting DOE/ORP contract environment for Hanford tank waste operations. The role requires precise technical document preparation to support SST/DST activities. The candidate will provide high-visibility engineering technical support in writing, preparation, production, and issuance of engineering reports for Tank and Pipeline Integrity (TAPI). The position emphasizes technical communications and publications that present engineering report production, compliance, editing, and graphics support for a highly visible nuclear/environmental program.

Requirements

  • 15 years of experience formatting and publishing documents, preferably for Department of Energy (DOE).
  • Working knowledge of applicable document preparation standards and procedures.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office, Visio, Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), and ACAD.
  • Familiarity with Hanford Site/H2C document standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Government Printing Office Style Manual, Chicago Manual of Style, and NRC Editorial Style Guide.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with technical editing/writing expertise in tank and pipeline integrity.
  • Familiarity with procedures such as MSC-PRO-54603 (Identifying, Marking, and Protecting Official Use Only Information).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a H2C Technical Publications Specialist – Tank and Pipeline Integrity (TAPI) providing technical support in writing, preparation, production, and issuance of engineering reports.
  • Perform final editing and finished reports including finalizing spelling/grammar, direct author interface, research of references, layout, and formatting.
  • Create graphics for incorporation in reports and/or presentations using applications such as Visio and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Prepare reports on an expedited schedule, which may require editing after normal working hours and on weekends.
  • Ensure compliance with established Hanford Site and H2C editorial standards for technical documentation.
  • Review and edit documents for technical adequacy and appropriate content before delivery.
