The position involves setting up, adjusting, and operating a variety of auxiliary binding machines containing several cutting heads, control surfaces, or other attachments. This includes automatic bindery machines that can be electromechanically combined with other equipment to produce a complete bindery and finishing unit that processes printed sheets into final products. The role also requires inspecting equipment for safety issues, operating automatic adhesive binding machines, making adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations, and directing crew through all aspects of production while monitoring quality, output, and productivity.
