About The Position

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented H.R. Generalist to join our team. This pivotal role will be instrumental as we continue our rapid growth in the specialized field of Civil Engineering. You will be responsible for attracting top-tier talent and collaborating closely with leadership on strategic future planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Min 3 years of experience in HR - experience in the Civil Engineering Industry is a Plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment, F-1 and H-1B onboarding.
  • Experience with legal compliance.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with processing payroll and benefits administration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ADP systems, or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, ability to maintain confidentiality, and strong problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Civil Engineering Industry.
  • SHRM-CP or (PHR) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Post job openings in key areas based upon staffing needs.
  • Screen resumes for the top talent and maintain candidate databases.
  • Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates.
  • Prepare new hire paperwork and facilitate the onboarding process.
  • Process offboarding paperwork and conduct exit interviews.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Collaborate with department managers regarding staffing needs.
  • Track and maintain the team’s PTO and Unpaid Time Off.
  • Process HR-related invoices and expense reports.
  • Generate quarterly HR reports as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain company job descriptions.
  • Prepare, maintain, distribute, and enforce Company Policies & Procedures.
  • Assist with ensuring team members are meeting company training standards.
  • Track team certifications and licenses.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and local labor laws and mandates.
  • Assist in preparing for audits and maintaining necessary documentation.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in resolving basic employee relations issues.
  • Perform performance reviews.
