About The Position

The Store Manager is responsible for achieving sales and profit goals by delivering the best customer experience and developing a high-performing team. This role involves managing store operations in accordance with H&M standards, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and fostering a positive work environment. The Store Manager will oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of the store team, while also maintaining financial accountability for sales and profit.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of transferrable experience leading management level employees.
  • Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stretch, and engage in repetitive motions.
  • Ability to climb a ladder and use a step stool.
  • Open availability including evenings and weekends.
  • Basic computer skills such as browser navigation and data entry.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and follow up on Sales & Profit KPIs to maximize results.
  • Ensure store operations and H&M standards are followed, including proper scheduling and customer service.
  • Prioritize actions with the Area and Store team to secure good garment levels impacting sales.
  • Manage store maintenance cost-efficiently to meet H&M standards.
  • Prevent loss and ensure adherence to Audit guidelines with the Store Team.
  • Participate in executing store routines and tasks, including delivery truck processing and price changes.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and development of the Store Team in line with H&M best practices.
  • Evaluate and manage performance of Store Team members, executing development plans and feedback.
  • Communicate regularly with the Store team on business performance and company culture.
  • Handle health & safety, legal, and security issues to ensure employee and customer safety.
  • Promote feedback and strengthen company culture within the Store Team.
