Our Women's Health practice is hiring a Nurse Practitioner , experienced in Gynecology , to join their team of 1 Physician and 3 Nurse Practitioners full time, 40 hours/week, M-F in Media, Pennsylvania. The Nurse Practitioner performs physical examinations, confers with patients in person and by phone/electronically, collaborates with others in the department to ensure a smooth flow of patient care consistent with established quality indicators, and participates in the overall coordination of patient care. Other job duties include but are not limited to: Practices under the standard procedure established for the NP role, consistent with company policy and in accordance with all legal requirements. Conducts age-appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination consistent with department protocol. Performs routine physical examinations within scope of practice, including pelvic examinations , breast examinations , PAP tests , and any relevant infection screenings . Performs IUD insertions/removals , Endometrial Biopsies , works with Pessaries - education & maintenance; may perform Colposcopies . Provides education on women’s issues, preventative care, contraceptive methods, and lifestyle modifications. Orders diagnostic tests and prescribes medications within scope of practice. Provides expert, compassionate care for women during the menopausal transition (andropause, perimenopause, menopause, post menopause) by managing symptoms like hot flashes, mood wings, and sleep issues, educating patients on treatment options (hormonal/non-hormonal), offering lifestyle advice (diet, exercise, supplements), and supporting overall well-being with evidence-based care. Confers with patients in person and by phone/electronically, collaborates with others in the department to ensure a smooth flow of patient care consistent with established quality indicators and participates in the overall coordination of patient care. Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and cognitive status, patient/family education, family involvement, and patient advocacy. Consults with supervising physicians or other clinicians as dictated by patient needs and assessment findings.
