About The Position
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide comprehensive medical services in collaboration with our obstetrics and gynecology physicians. This position is focused on delivering high-quality patient care in the areas of obstetrics and gynecology, including diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and population health management. The role will be based in two locations: Kings Highway and Crown Heights in Brooklyn, NY. The NP/PA will be responsible for a variety of essential duties that include obtaining and documenting patient histories, conducting relevant physical exams, and evaluating patients while documenting pertinent findings. In this role, you will treat routine gynecological problems such as vaginal yeast infections, bacterial infections, and urinary tract infections. You will also perform pap smears, screen for cervical cancer, and test for sexually transmitted diseases. Diagnosing and treating pelvic conditions, conducting breast exams, and providing contraception services such as IUD insertions will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will prescribe medications in accordance with New York State and federal law, order appropriate laboratory and radiological tests, interpret results, and instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens. Collaboration with other clinicians and staff members is crucial to ensure continuity of care for patients. You will also be expected to perform other job-related duties and be willing to receive training in gynecological procedures. Participation in staff educational programs and meetings is encouraged, and you will work closely with designated physicians to ensure optimal patient care.
