About The Position

Tampa General Medical Group (TGMG) is the physician practice of Tampa General Hospital and includes physicians and advanced practice providers specializing in cardiology, gynecology, endocrinology, hepatology, internal medicine, family practice, organ transplantation, pediatrics, bariatrics, geriatrics and surgery. With 34 current locations throughout the Tampa Bay area, our primary care offices offer the full spectrum of comprehensive medical care services for the entire family. We are seeking a dedicated and patient-centered Gynecology Physician to join our growing women’s health team. This role provides a balanced mix of inpatient consults, surgical cases, and outpatient clinic care. The ideal candidate is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care with a strong emphasis on patient experience, teamwork, and clinical excellence.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  • Eligible for state medical licensure.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-focused care.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program.
  • Board certification within the time frame established by the applicable Specialty Medical Staff Department.
  • Unrestricted licensure to practice as a physician in the State of Florida.
  • Member of TGH medical staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Urogynecology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive general gynecologic care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Perform routine and complex gynecologic procedures and surgeries, including minimally invasive options.
  • Manage inpatient consults, admissions, and follow-up care as needed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nursing, advanced practice providers, and specialty services.
  • Participate in shared call responsibilities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR.
  • Uphold organizational standards for quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
