About The Position

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a national thought-leader to lead our Gynecological Oncology program. The ideal candidate would have at least five years of board-certified clinical experience, demonstrated leadership in clinical trials research, advanced experience in robotic surgery, and the ability to perform with clinical excellence in a highly productive practice. The candidate will join four other board-certified gynecologic oncologists in a high-volume practice that supports an ACGME-approved fellowship training program. This medical directorship position also includes on-going quality improvement initiatives for both the inpatient and outpatient services to improve clinical outcomes and the patient experience. The program leader will be expected to foster academic and industry relationships on a national and international level to advance innovation through clinical trials, both multi-institutional cooperative groups and investigator-initiated trials. Because AdventHealth is a recognized national leader in robotic surgery research and education, the director would have the opportunity to apply for membership in the AdventHealth Global Robotics Institute housed in the Nicholson Center for Surgical Advancement. The AdventHealth Cancer Institute (AHCI) is a comprehensive oncology program that supports all subspecialties of oncology, a robust clinical trials research program, and the AdventHealth Translational Research Unit. AdventHealth Orlando is also one of the nation’s top-ranked hospitals with a team of more than 200 world-class oncology specialists who collectively care for approximately 10,000 patients annually.
