The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is seeking a Gynecologic Oncologist to join our high-volume surgical practice. The department consists of over 50 board-certified physicians providing care to a rich patient mix involving regional, national, and international patients. All OB/GYN subspecialties are represented in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which also supports 20 residents and 18 fellows through six ACGME/ABOG accredited training programs. Mayo Clinic's gynecologic oncologists offer an integrated approach to the diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic cancers, specializing in the surgical management of complex benign and oncologic disorders. The division includes nine gynecologic oncologists, and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) assist with evaluation of new patients, management of post-surgical patients, and independently manage patients seen for postoperative evaluation and cancer survivorship. The Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center is designated as a comprehensive cancer center by the National Cancer Institute, where renowned physicians, researchers, and scientists conduct team-based, patient-centered research to develop the latest technologies and treatments to address unmet patient needs. Patients have access to clinical trials in all phases, and the clinic has been home to a SPORE in Ovarian Cancer since 2009, complementing active research in other gynecologic cancers. Other resources include 12 da Vinci robots, the availability of intraoperative radiation, excellent anesthesia and critical care support, and world-class multidisciplinary collaboration with other surgical specialties to perform complex gynecologic procedures.
