The UWH of Texas Laboratory is expanding its test menu to include digital GYN Cytology and microscopic evaluation of GYN tissue specimens (GYN Pathology). This laboratory was established in 2020 and serves more than 200 OB/GYN providers across the state of Texas under the remote direction of a GYN Pathology Fellowship-trained Pathologist. At the outset of these new services, you may serve as the only pathologist on site; therefore, demonstrated comfort with independent sign-out in GYN cytology and/or histology is essential. While digital GYN cytology is required at this time to be read on-site, the potential for digital histology to be read remotely may be available. There are no frozen sections or call responsibilities.
