Lehman YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic part-time gymnastics instructor to join our team, who will lead toddlers and school-age children through 30-minute classes that introduce young children(3-11 years old) to body awareness and movement to learn basic gymnastics movements.
Requirements
- At least 16 years old.
- Must possess strong human relations skills and the ability to communicate with participants and staff.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to lead a group while maintaining structure and control.
- Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in gymnastics is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for monitoring and keeping track of program participants and enforcing all program rules and policies.
- Include all students and emphasize each participant’s unique capabilities.
- Maintain a safe and efficient environment, respond to emergencies when needed, and make responsible judgments regarding participant and/or program area conduct.
