Our classes help children develop social, physical, and cognitive skills through play, music, movement, and creativity. Position Overview We are looking for an energetic, outgoing teacher who loves working with young children and families. In this role, you will lead fun, engaging classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers using Gymboree’s curriculum and equipment. Gymboree Play & Music has been fostering creativity and confidence in children ages 0-5 for over 45 years and in over 30 countries, making us the global leader in early childhood development programs. Designed by experts, our age-appropriate activities help develop the cognitive, physical and social skills of children as they play. Our programs are also recognized for their unique approach to parent involvement—which encourages participation in and understanding of each child’s development. Our class curriculum is developed by our experienced child development program directors and incorporates a balanced whole-child approach with activities to support what your child is mastering right now and what he or she will aspire to later. Classes are designed in increments to meet a child’s unique interests and abilities. From birth to age 6, there’s always something special awaiting you and your child at Gymboree Play & Music. Gymboree Play & Music - Pearlridge is independently owned and operated by a franchisee. Your application will go directly to the franchisee, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of that franchise. Requirements
- Experience working with children ages 0–5 preferred
- Energetic, outgoing personality and comfortable performing
- Enjoy singing, dancing, and being playful in front of families
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable and flexible schedule
Responsibilities
- Lead parent-child classes featuring songs, movement, and play activities
- Facilitate play, music, and art activities using Gymboree lesson plans
- Help maintain a clean, safe play environment and prepare equipment for classes
- Create a welcoming and engaging environment for children and parents
- Assist with birthday parties and other special events
- Provide excellent customer service
- Answer incoming calls, make outbound calls, greet and service customers
