About The Position

As Gym Staff, you'll support the day-to-day flow of the gym - from front desk operations and member services to retail, cleaning, and climbing floor monitoring. This is a full-time, hourly role ($17–$19/hour) based in Salt Lake City, with availability for nights and weekends expected. You'll play a key role in creating a welcoming, safe, and well-run experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

Requirements

• Are friendly, approachable, and confident communicating with all kinds of people
• Have experience in customer service, hospitality, or retail (climbing gym experience is a plus)
• Enjoy multitasking in a fast-paced, people-facing environment
• Care about safety, cleanliness, and consistency
• Are self-motivated and stay productive even during slower moments
• Can work nights, weekends, and varied shifts
• Have (or can obtain upon hire) First Aid/CPR and Utah Alcohol Certification
• Are comfortable using basic computer programs like Outlook and Excel
• Love climbing - or are excited to learn and grow within the sport

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check in guests and members, manage waivers, and give facility tours
• Support memberships by signing up new members and keeping records accurate
• Answer phones, respond to questions, and promote programs, events, and retail
• Process sales, returns, and transactions at the front desk and during events
• Monitor climbing areas to ensure safety standards, certifications, and gym rules are followed
• Perform belay tests, autobelay orientations, and basic climbing instruction
• Address unsafe behaviors calmly and professionally
• Complete daily and deep-cleaning tasks to keep the facility running smoothly
• Conduct facility walk-throughs and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Stay engaged, proactive, and ready to jump in where needed
