H2i – Gym Manager The Gym Manager is personally responsible for establishing relationships with new and existing members within the facility, helping them “Get to a Healthier Place®”. Building the club's business by meeting with new prospective members and engaging with the community are key to your success in this position. Requirements

  • Several years of experience within either the service or retail sector with a proven track record of leadership
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills are a must, along with a top-tier customer service approach to conducting business

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with fitness club management software (Club O/S, Club Ready, apps like My Fitness Pal all a plus)
  • Past sales skills a plus and a desire to build a business to success in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Current CPR and AED certifications preferred
  • Customer Service or Management experience preferred. Commission incentive offered after successful completion of probationary period.

Responsibilities

  • New member acquisition through guerilla and digital marketing, community outreach, and one-on-one sales
  • Oversight of the entire club membership base including operational and financial responsibilities, back-end reporting and management of member needs
  • Driving results through motivation and club culture to ensure overall club goals are met
  • Location Manager to be onsite during staffed hours, Monday - Friday, with occasional weekend needs.
  • Selling Memberships: Selling memberships and discussing the membership process with new and potential members.
  • Managing Marketing: Managing and organizing marketing efforts both within and outside of the club such as community events and promotions
  • Providing customer service: Handling members' concerns professionally and objectively to resolve them through exceptional customer service
  • Daily cleaning: Ensuring the club is clean and well maintained. This is our number one priority.
  • Recruiting new members: Recruiting new members through self-generated and company-sponsored programs, promotions, and referrals
  • Prospecting leads: Prospecting leads by calling, texting, emailing, or chatting with potential members at local events or during club walk-ins
  • Maintaining clientele: Maintaining long-term clientele and growing the club's membership base
  • Giving tours: Giving club tours and membership presentations
  • Tracking appointments and sales: Utilizing computer programs to track appointments and sales
  • Club Culture: Providing an upbeat attitude and environment for our members
  • All other duties as assigned
