Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication or installation preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred; training is available for entry-level candidates.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine operating errors.
  • Proficient knowledge of machine operations, including specifications necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Basic math skills essential for accurate inventory counting.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Proficiency in English for effective verbal and written communication.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is considered an advantage.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record required.
  • CDL certification is preferred; candidates may be offered the opportunity to complete a CDL through the company's in-house DOT-certified CDL Academy.
  • Must exhibit reliability, safety consciousness, and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Operate roll forming machinery with precision to produce metal products that meet the specific requirements detailed in work orders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Monitor machine performance by consistently checking gauges, dials, and other indicators, swiftly identifying and resolving any operational issues to maintain continuous production flow.
  • Utilize advanced mechanical skills to troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions efficiently, minimizing downtime and maintaining high levels of operational efficacy.
  • Maintain and surpass production targets by adhering to strict project timelines for both on-site and off-site engagements, contributing to overall departmental productivity goals.
  • Implement regular maintenance routines to guarantee the optimal performance of manufacturing machinery, thereby preventing production interruptions and extending machine longevity.
  • Optimize material usage by strategically reducing non-chargeable waste, fostering a cost-effective production environment that ensures maximum material utilization.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and integrate new technological processes into daily operations, thereby enhancing personal expertise and contributing to the department’s cutting-edge capabilities.
  • Accurately document material usage and completed tasks, ensuring meticulous record-keeping for material management and providing detailed information for billing and inventory purposes.
