About The Position

B&T USA is seeking a skilled and experienced Gunsmith, responsible for the diagnosis and repair of complex firearm issues and assist in the assembly and customization of firearms. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous proven work experience as a gunsmith.
  • Knowledge of firearm design and the mechanics of various firearms.
  • High degree of manual dexterity, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized gunsmithing equipment and materials.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to diagnose and fix complex firearm issues.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local firearm laws and safety standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a technical or associate degree program a plus.
  • Completion of a gunsmithing program or apprenticeship is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and diagnose firearm issues.
  • Repair and restore firearms to their original condition.
  • Modify firearms to improve functionality and performance.
  • Create custom firearms according to specifications.
  • Perform routine firearm maintenance and cleaning services.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local firearm laws.
  • Advise customers on proper firearm care and safe handling practices.
  • Order and manage supplies and firearm components.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all regulations concerning the department.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment by following established safety standards.
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
  • Support a positive and professional image through actions.
  • Communicate with vendors, management personnel, customers, and technical experts as necessary to coordinate needs and efficiently resolve any issues.
