About The Position

We are seeking a Guidewire Developer to join our team! The Guidewire Developer will participate in the development and delivery of our insurance product portfolio on the InsuranceNow platform. We are searching for people who will bring their experience with insurance systems to help us drive the successful delivery of this high visibility, high impact project.

Requirements

3 to 5 years of experience with Java
BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry technical skills
Guidewire InsuranceNow development experience - preferred
Knowledge of API development
Knowledge of JavaScript
XML processing
Relational Database Experience (Redshift, PostgreSQL, MySQL, ...)
Version control with Git
Clean code practices working within a team environment
Debugging and Root Cause analysis skills
Knowledge of P&C Insurance a plus
Good communication skills
Strong individual contributor with experience delivering high-quality solutions
Interest in software / architectural design principles

Nice To Haves

Guidewire InsuranceNow development experience - preferred
Knowledge of P&C Insurance a plus

Responsibilities

Product scoping, discovery, hands-on technical input and helping translate user features into system design
Work in an agile team, pair programming and support deliverables in production
Development of the all the required functions/features on the InsuranceNow platform
Receive and provide feedback in code reviews
Do test-driven development to ensure high confidence in any code you develop
Collaborate within the Scrum Team to understand the requirements and possible implementation options
Help develop Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) - Jenkins
Ability to rapidly absorb new technologies and have the desire to work in a fast-paced environment
