Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you About the Role: We are seeking an experienced GNC/M&S Developer who will be tasked with GN&C analysis and modeling and simulation development efforts associated with advance missile weapon design across the Theater Strike Weapon Systems (TSWS) and Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) portfolios, including Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) and possibly other programs. In this role, you will: Develop, document, maintain, and verify high-fidelity weapon system simulation models Perform analysis and trade studies of existing and proposed system designs or concepts Assess performance and requirement compliance associated with advanced weapons systems, subsystems, or algorithms Verify and Validate models and systems against analytical referents, hardware qualification data, flight test data, or other artifacts Successful applicants generally have at least 3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline, such Aerospace Engineering or related engineering discipline.

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Advanced proficiency with simulation and programming tools such as Matlab/Simulink, C++, Python, and/or Fortran
  • Weapon system Modeling & Simulation design and analysis experience
  • To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Final Secret clearance is required to start employment. Applicants must possess a currently active Secret security clearance to be considered qualified.
  • Selected candidates will be required to maintain at minimum a Secret clearance for long term employment on this program.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the development phase of a missile defense program on modeling and simulation or software
  • 4-6 years of GNC experience on various weapon system applications (e.g., missiles, hypersonic vehicle).
  • Experience with navigation and/or control system design, modeling, and verification
  • Experience deploying algorithms or simulation models that satisfy real-time performance requirements
  • Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and software version control such as Git
  • Ability to develop and/or verify/validate complex vehicle models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulations
  • Active Top Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain in support of new programs or higher caveat program scope within TSWS portfolio
