About The Position

In this role, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and testing of guidance, navigation, and control systems that enable spacecraft to operate in complex space environments. You’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop robust, flight-proven GN&C solutions and ensure mission success through rigorous simulation and validation.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in spacecraft controls design, analysis, simulation, and test.
  • Experience with simulation and programming tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, C++, Python.
  • Experience with Kalman Filtering and Attitude Determination.
  • To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI (adjudicated or eligibility) is required for consideration.
  • Top Secret security clearance with adjudicated SCI (i.e. TS/SCI) is required prior to start.
  • Willing to consent to Polygraph Examination
  • Successful applicants will generally possess a minimum of 1+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
  • Successful completion of customer required Polygraph Examination with favorable results is required for long term employment on this program.

Nice To Haves

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly.
  • Experience with flight software development and autocode to C++.
  • Jitter analysis experience (highly desired).
  • Familiarity with a GN&C hardware suite for space applications.
  • Mission operations experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors, and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform spacecraft controls design, analysis, simulation, and testing activities.
  • Develop and validate GN&C algorithms and flight software.
  • Utilize simulation and programming tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, C++, Python).
  • Apply Kalman Filtering and Attitude Determination techniques to mission design.
  • Support hardware integration and mission operations in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
