Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) intern supporting our Common Controls and Avionics Group. As a GN&C intern, you will support development activities within our Space and Missiles programs. You will be responsible for simulation development and checkout of the algorithms followed up with lab test of real hardware for validation of models and algorithms. Also, you will conduct performance related analysis to validate requirements, document and present your analysis results. The group is focused on developing AI GNC technologies for current and future programs. This position requires a US citizenship.

Requirements

  • Obtaining a BS Degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering or related discipline focusing on control system design and analysis.
  • Academic background and interest in Controls and Dynamics with some experience a plus.
  • Experience/knowledge of simulation and programming tools (Matlab, Simulink, C++, Python).
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with FPGAs/HDL code.
  • Experience with Python scripting.
  • Experience with 3-phase motors.
  • Experience with data acquisition and processing.
  • Experience with CORESIM and autocoding with MATLAB/SIMULINK.
  • Experience or Academics in classical controls designs including PD and PID controllers.
  • Knowledge of signal processing and ability to design filters.
