About The Position

Augustine Angels, a federal contractor supporting Department of Defense training programs, is seeking a professional speaker with lived experience of domestic violence within the DoD/military community for a proposed Domestic Violence Intervention Training (DVIT) contract. This opportunity is contingent upon contract award . The DVIT program provides accredited training to military police officers, investigators, behavioral health personnel, and Family Advocacy professionals to strengthen domestic violence response systems within military environments. Primary Place of Performance: Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri (ZIP 65473) Additional travel to U.S. military installations (CONUS) may be required. The selected speaker will deliver a structured, educational presentation (approximately one hour) sharing lived experience within a professional training framework. Presentations occur up to 12 times annually, including resident sessions and potential mobile training team engagements. This is not a keynote or motivational event; it is a structured instructional component within a law enforcement training curriculum. Applicants must: Have experienced domestic violence involving a military-connected individual (active duty, reserve, dependent, or military spouse) and processed through military or associated law enforcement systems Have reported the incident(s) to law enforcement Offender prosecution resulted in conviction All criminal appeals have been exhausted Have completed psychological treatment and be emotionally stable Be comfortable speaking in professional training environments Be willing and able to travel within the continental United States We recognize that sharing lived experience is deeply personal.
