About The Position

Oklahoma Surgical Hospital (OSH) is a physician-owned, 5-star rated facility committed to providing superior personalized healthcare with high standards in patient care, clinical outcomes, and patient experiences. The hospital employs over 550 professionals dedicated to redefining patient experiences. This part-time Guest Services Specialist position involves working Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and every other Saturday from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with no holiday work. While it does not qualify for health benefits, it is eligible for discretionary quarterly bonuses. The role is safety-sensitive and focuses on patient and visitor transport, vehicle parking, registration desk staffing, and providing information and assistance in a friendly and respectful manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record required
• Drivers under 21 years of age will need to be approved by the insurance carrier
• Current BLS certification or must be acquired within 30 days of hire date through the hospital
• Good interpersonal/customer service skills
• Basic knowledge of a medical setting
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, and data entry
• Sound judgement and quick decision making when presented with patients with needs

Responsibilities

• Transporting patients, guests, and visitors to the appropriate department within the facility
• Transporting patients from the recovery area to their designated inpatient room
• Parking visitor’s vehicles
• Staffing registration desks
• Receive all patients, guests, and visitors, in a friendly and respectful manner
• Provide assistance in the form of information about hospital services
• Facilitating consultation between physicians and patient families
• Provide direction and answer general information inquires
