About The Position

The Guest Services Representative position is part of the Lodging facility at the 6th Force Support Squadron, located at MacDill AFB, FL. This role involves providing exceptional customer service to guests, managing room reservations, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. The representative will handle cash transactions, maintain records, and ensure the front desk area is clean and welcoming. This is a permanent position with multiple schedules available, and it requires a background investigation.

Requirements

• Experience in general clerical or cashier work with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and provide quality customer service.
• Ability to resolve common arithmetic problems and make change when receiving payment from customers.
• Must meet state and legal age requirements for the sale of alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities

• Receives and confirms room reservations via various communication methods.
• Registers and assigns rooms to guests, issues room keys, and may escort guests to their rooms.
• Ensures only authorized personnel use government-sponsored quarters.
• Calculates and posts charges to guests' accounts and balances totals with control records.
• Accepts payment, makes change, and presents checkout statements to departing guests.
• Prepares and safeguards cash receipts and daily activity reports.
• Maintains a current checkout list and sells sundry items to guests.
• Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Records and notifies appropriate personnel of maintenance issues reported by guests.
• Ensures the front desk area and lobby remain clean and organized.
• Processes Night Audit procedures and closes credit card machines nightly.
• Maintains the lost and found program and prioritizes customer service.
