About The Position

Cabell Huntington Hospital seeks a Guest Services Representative. Please note that shifts include evenings, midnights, weekends and holidays. Guest Relations Representative will act as liaison to Hospital departments when called upon and assist patients and visitors with non-medical requests such as: information, directions, hotel and dining recommendations and reservations, business services, transportation, travel arrangements, mailing and shipping items, lost and found and other guest service related requests. Guest Relations Representatives: Must meet the immediate needs of patients and visitors coming to the hospital such as greeting, assisting guests with non-medical requests, information, directions, and way-finding; must perform visitor control, monitoring waiting areas, and other guest related duties. Must be able to listen carefully and anticipate guest needs. Possess basic computer skills. Must speak and communicate clearly, professionally and tactfully. Be able to multi-task; time management and problem solving skills are essential. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Assist patients and visitors with any needs they may have while in the Hospital. Must be able to listen carefully and anticipate guests needs. Introduces self by name and job title when speaking in person or by telephone to patients, their families and others. Demonstrates honesty, discretion in conduct, and confidentiality in conversations in all areas of work environment. Reports patient safety concerns and hazardous conditions in a timely and appropriate manner. Has strong interpersonal skills. Possesses the ability to speak and communicate clearly, professionally and tactfully. Has an excellent documentation skills. Confers with guests in person or by telephone to provide information, take or enter requests, refer unresolved customer concerns to designated department for further investigation and then follow through for loop closure. Maintains an acceptable level of order, control, and safety in their assigned work area by enforcing the various Hospital Policies and Procedures. Protects patients, visitors and employees from harm and reasonable fear of harm. Will include data tracking and report development. In the event of disaster or threat to the hospital, this position will convert to a security role.

  • Meet Hospital Insurance Carrier requirements

  • Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing environmental conditions
  • Must possess ability to hear and interpret two-way radio calls
  • Must be in good physical condition
  • Must be able to run
  • Visual and hearing acuity required
  • Must meet requirement of Cabell Huntington Hospital Insurance Provider
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time

Nice To Haves

  • Basic First Aid knowledge preferred
