About The Position

The Guest Services Representative (GSR) plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for guests at the hotel. This position involves assisting guests with check-in and check-out processes, managing reservations, and addressing guest inquiries and issues. The GSR is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel and ensuring compliance with safety and security procedures.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand and communicate in English proficiently.
  • Must be able to operate the property management system technology.
  • Ability to understand and follow safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to complete routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
  • Ability to apply good judgment and solve guest-related issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in customer service or hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with hotel management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests.
  • Assists guests at all times and responds to guest requests with diligent follow-through.
  • Processes reservations, registration, payment, and departures in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Handles collection efforts of all in-house balances and accounts for cash, check, credit card, and city ledger accounts.
  • Sets up, maintains, and takes down breakfast when required, ensuring a clean work area behind the front desk and in guest commons.
  • Sells the value of ESA to inquiries and strives to convert them into reservations.
  • Collects relevant guest information and identifies potential sales leads.
  • Conducts periodic tours of the property to ensure brand standards are met.
  • Assists and provides reasonable accommodations in response to guest requests.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures, including reporting safety and security issues.
