About The Position

The Guest Services Clerk position at Festival Foods involves conducting daily Service Counter operations and enhancing guest relations through advanced service techniques. The role requires responding to inquiries, providing information to assist guests in making purchasing decisions, and resolving complaints. Guest Services Associates are expected to create meaningful interactions with customers, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.

Requirements

  • Minimum availability of 16 hours a week with a minimum of 8 hours per day during available days.
  • Ability to process information/merchandise through the register system.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with associates and guests.
  • Ability to read, count, and write accurately.
  • Ability to operate all necessary equipment for the job.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of goods and services offered by Festival.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and guest service skills.
  • Sound practical judgment of priorities.
  • Interest in helping and working with guests.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of guest needs through face-to-face, electronic, or telephone interactions.
  • Respond to guest inquiries regarding offers, promotions, and events.
  • Resolve complaints from guests according to established guidelines.
  • Process transactions accurately and maintain cash and media at Service Counter registers.
  • Distribute cashier tills and collaborate with cashiers to meet associate and guest needs.
  • Record details of comments, inquiries, complaints, and actions taken.
  • Provide guests with exchanges, refunds, discounts, and other offers related to their retail store account activity.
  • Perform guest verifications and process orders, applications, forms, and requests.
  • Assist with additional services such as DMV, Lottery, Rug Doctor, and ticket sales.
  • Direct unresolved issues to the appropriate designated resource.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and development of guest service standards, procedures, and policies.
  • Support and execute superior guest service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure all quality standards are met, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pm.
  • Maintain regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule.
