The Guest Services Coordinator at Pueblo Zoo is responsible for coordinating private parties, large group rentals, and various guest services operations. This part-time role involves managing communications with renters, scheduling events, and ensuring customer satisfaction during rentals and birthday parties. The coordinator will also assist with memberships, guest services team scheduling, and training new hires, while providing excellent customer service in a dynamic environment.

  • Coordinate private parties and large group rentals at zoo venues.
  • Manage communications with renters and complete rental contracts.
  • Schedule and maintain rental calendar, ensuring flawless set-up and clean-up with the Grounds Team.
  • Oversee check-in, final payment, and check-out processes for rentals.
  • Establish table layouts and coordinate set up and tear down with staff.
  • Schedule and organize birthday parties, including communications and supply management.
  • Coordinate Behind the Scenes Encounters with Animal Care staff.
  • Process membership dues and renewals, and manage membership questions.
  • Schedule guest services team members across various areas.
  • Provide coverage in guest services areas as needed and assist with training new hires.
  • Ensure customer evaluations and follow-ups are completed for all rentals.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in general office work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
  • Experience with Google Suite and Canva preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Doubleknot Point of Sale System and DonorSnap database.
