About The Position

As our Guest Services Coordinator , you will cover routine office/clerical responsibilities for one of our resorts. You will also serve as the face of the resort as you interact with current and prospective guests who come to the office with questions and concerns. This is a seasonal position that may require flexible scheduling availability.

Requirements

  • Greet and establish rapport with guests
  • Field resort comments, suggestions, and complaints to the Resort Manager
  • Check guests in and out for their reservations
  • Perform general administrative duties such as answering phones, typing, copying, faxing, and filing
  • Complete and maintain resort records, reports, and files
  • Prepare and distribute resort communications such as rule reminders, violation notices, newsletters, etc.
  • Ensure office supplies are sufficiently stocked and prepare supply orders as needed
  • Assist with the preparation of marketing materials
  • Intermediate computer proficiency, including the ability to use Microsoft Office, email, and the internet
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors.
  • Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior administrative experience is preferred
  • Resort office or hotel front desk experience is a plus
