About The Position

Woodruff Arts Center employees play an integral role in creating and supporting great art and education initiatives at the nation’s third largest arts center. Comprised of three Art Partners—Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and High Museum of Art—there’s a role for everyone at The Woodruff. The Guest Services Associate will be responsible for providing excellent service to guests visiting the Woodruff Arts Center’s campus as well as its employees while maintaining the Box Office. This position is responsible for welcoming guests, answering questions, guiding them to their destinations on campus, processing ticketing, and distributing Will Call. The Box Office Associate will also be responsible for assisting the Manager of Business Insights and Analytic with any additional duties and responsibilities as requested. Work Schedule: Schedule will vary and is based on Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE performance schedule. Position will be primarily during nights and weekends.

  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of all Arts Partners events taking place on campus
  • Excellent organizational, writing, communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be prompt, dependable and able to complete tasks with limited supervision
  • Familiarity with ADA requirements and patron assistance
  • Comprehension in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • High School Diploma and / or bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 1-2 years of customer service / box office experience preferred or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Proficient in Ticketmaster Archtics platform

Responsibilities

  • Provide first rate customer service to patrons, employees, and all visitors to the Woodruff Arts Center’s campus while staffed at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Box
  • Process subscription, single tickets and group sales when requested
  • Provide information regarding events taking place on campus including but not limited to event schedules, event prices, and ticket policies
  • Deliver scripted sales calls selling ASO subscriptions and tickets by phone from leads furnished by ASO
  • Utilize Ticketmaster ticketing platforms to fulfill ticketing requests
  • Accurately dispenses tickets and merchandise transactions as requested by patrons; accepts payment and makes change accurately.
  • Efficiently and courteously answers questions concerning prices, seating, and events.
  • Provides information concerning upcoming Events to upsell and increase revenue.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance
  • Other duties as assigned
