About The Position

The Best Western Plus Kansas City Sports Complex is seeking a Guest Service Associate to be the first point of contact for guests. This role is ideal for an energetic individual who enjoys making guests' days and thrives in a high-energy environment. Located near the Chiefs and Royals stadiums, the associate will be responsible for creating a warm and seamless welcome for guests, whether they are visiting for a game, concert, or business trip, curating their Kansas City experience.

Requirements

  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor, even when the lobby gets busy.
  • Be a pro at capturing accurate information and handling guest payments securely.
  • Turn a quick inquiry into a helpful, professional conversation.
  • Be comfortable with technology and ready to learn new promotions, rate packages, and brand standards.
  • Have a zen approach to busy shifts. Whether it’s a sold-out game night or a complex guest request, you stay calm, professional, and focused on finding a win-win solution.
  • Show initiative by anticipating needs—like prepping keys for a large group arrival or refreshing the coffee station before it runs low—to keep the front desk running like a well-oiled machine.
  • View guest objections not as a hurdle, but as an opportunity to turn a frustrated traveler into a loyal fan of our hotel.
  • A High School diploma (or equivalent) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in hospitality or a high-touch customer service role

Responsibilities

  • Provide insider info on the best BBQ spots, the easiest stadium routes, and must-see KC attractions.
  • Master our front desk systems to handle reservations, check-ins, and payments with speed and accuracy.
  • Anticipate guest needs—from tracking down a missing package to ensuring a V.I.P. request is executed perfectly.
  • Uphold the high standards of the Best Western Plus brand while adding your own personal touch of midwestern hospitality.
  • Complete shift checklists and collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure the hotel is always "stadium-ready."
