About The Position

Moon River Ranch is a 550- acre Event venue located along the Brazos River about 20 minutes SE of Waco, TX. The Ranch is used primarily for family reunions, weddings, parties, corporate retreats and meetings, etc. The property has several buildings which serve as the complex for events including an Event Center, Chapel, office, Lodge with 15 guest rooms, several individual guest houses, also with guest rooms and a 10-room hotel. The property also includes support buildings including the laundry, equipment sheds, tool sheds and other structures for maintenance equipment and tools. The ranch also has an assortment of ranch animals including exotics. We are actively looking to recruit a Guest Services and Venue Sales Associate. In this role you will be trained to be a destination expert who will be responsible for the sales of large-scale events at the Moon River Ranch in Waco, TX. You will receive inquiries [from a third party] for booking events (such as weddings, charity events, trade shows, and corporate meetings to name but a few) while providing exceptional Customer Service to prospective clients and guests at the property.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of inbound and outbound sales experience required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and ability to achieve success while working autonomously
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills required
  • Proficient in Google Suites, Microsoft Office Suites, Guesty, Perfect Venue, Xola
  • Ability to adapt and adjust planned work through analyzing work demands, competing priorities, and tight deadlines; and understand the most effective and efficient means to accomplish tasks within the parameters of the organizational structure, processes, systems, and policies
  • Ability to assess situations, provide counsel, and identify solutions that resolve challenges/issues, while considering the best interests of all parties; to develop and implement short and long-term solutions, and to apply effective problem solving and decision-making to address business needs and issues
  • Proven ability to shift and multi-task effectively and produce accurate, timely results in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment; adaptable to change
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive approach, team-player attitude and professional demeanor
  • Willing to work extra hours as needed to get the work done

Responsibilities

  • Meeting with potential clients to understand their needs and present our venue offerings.
  • The sales associate will be responsible for converting inbound inquiries and leads into exceptional booked experiences for clients and guests
  • Conducting tours of the venue and highlighting its features to potential clients.
  • Negotiating rental terms, contracts, and prices to secure bookings.
  • Analyze sales weekly, monthly, quarterly to identify opportunities and track growth
  • Proactively share sales challenges with recommended plans to address gaps with leadership team.
  • Collects deposits or payments and records transactions according to company policy
  • Assisting with inbound and outbound marketing for the venue to attract potential clients and drive bookings.
  • Consistently engage in account management with existing clients to maximize sales potential and increase frequency.
  • Coordinating with client, other staff and vendors to ensure events run smoothly.
  • Managing and maintaining positive client relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Greet and welcome all guests approaching the Front Desk in accordance with Moon River Ranch standards; maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
  • Answer inquiries from guests regarding MRR lodging, activities, and etc
  • Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow associates and other departments within the hotel
  • Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include weekends and holidays
  • Working towards and achieving a monthly sales target of $45,000 in event bookings.
