About The Position

The Guest Service Supervisor plays a key leadership role in delivering a welcoming, efficient, and consistent guest experience at the My Place Hotel in Dickinson, ND. This position supports front desk operations while guiding and developing the Guest Service Representative team. The Supervisor works closely with the General Manager to ensure daily operations run smoothly and that company policies, brand standards, and service expectations are consistently met. This is a hands‑on role for a leader who leads by example, remains guest‑focused, and supports team members during all phases of the guest stay.

Requirements

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and hotel systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, remain organized, and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Dependable, professional, and consistent work habits
  • High attention to detail, particularly with cash handling and guest records
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (90-100%) while working at the front desk
  • Reach heights of up to 60 inches
  • Move throughout the building, including stairs
  • Push or pull equipment such as vacuums, shovels, cribs, and rollaways up to 50 lbs
  • Lift up to 30 lbs of supplies or linens

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily front desk operations, including guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate processing of room charges, taxes, pet fees, and hotel services
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for room types, rates, amenities, accessible features, and local attractions, assisting guests as needed
  • Address guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues when appropriate
  • Support and guide Guest Service Representatives during shifts, reinforcing service standards, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Assist with staff training, coaching, scheduling needs, and interview processes in coordination with the General Manager
  • Manage telephone operations, including transferring calls, scheduling wake-up calls, and documenting reservations, confirmations, and cancellations
  • Complete and review daily documentation, including the Front Desk Log, Night Audit Checklist, cash logs, and call logs
  • Follow safety and security protocols by conducting routine property walkthroughs of hotel floors, stairwells, and exterior doors, documenting any concerns
  • Issue, track, and inventory master keys and key cards for housekeeping and maintenance staff
  • Assist with operational support tasks as needed, including laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and storing linens
