About The Position

At Nothing Bundt Cakes, we refer to our guest services representatives as Joy Creators! A Joy Creator/Crafter sweetens up the place, setting the mood and making a stop in the bakery an event worth posting about. You'll get to play party planner by helping guests order the right cake for their celebrations and making sure their orders go off without a hitch. Joy Creators applies the finishing decorative touches to our frosted cakes and assembles orders to ensure accuracy and the highest-quality presentation for our guests. Following strict proprietary methods and food safety standards, the Joy Creator/Crafter customizes cake and balloon orders with the appropriate decorations and packaging based on each guest's unique celebratory occasion.

Requirements

Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
Is able to understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents such as order tickets, operating procedures and health and safety rules, and apply knowledge to perform job responsibilities.
Has the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a meticulous attention to detail.
Is able to pay strict attention to timing and work on a tight, fast-paced schedule.
Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on changing business demands.

Nice To Haves

While no formal education or work experience is required, previous guest service or support experience at a bakery, restaurant or retail store is a plus.

Responsibilities

Promptly greets walk-in and phone guests with genuine warmth and helpful enthusiasm to determine interests and needs and follows NbC Sweet Steps of Service to create a superior guest experience.
Maintains strong product knowledge to educate guests on NbC cake distinction, size and flavor profile options, pricing, special promotions and complementary retail merchandise.
Suggests additional merchandise, including balloons, candles and cards, to complete unique celebration.
Processes guest orders efficiently and accurately utilizing point-of-sale system and invites guests to join NbC Email Club to benefit from special promotions and remain connected.
Assembles cake and balloon orders according to guest specifications for the given celebration and follows NbC cake decorating and presentation standards with precision.
Prioritizes workload according to schedule to ensure all orders are complete at the appropriate pick-up or delivery time, and crafts all orders for walk-in guests.
Prepares cake decorations, boxes, bows, and other packaging materials in advance to ensure requisite supplies are readily available for cake order demands.
Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.
