Your primary responsibilities will include greeting and registering guests, suggestively selling hotel rooms, issuing room keys, assigning rooms, and setting wake-up calls in a warm and friendly manner. You will ensure guest safety by adhering to established security procedures, including fire and tornado protocols, key security, and maintaining guest privacy. In addition to these duties, you will be responsible for managing incoming mail, faxes, and messages, ensuring they are date-stamped, sorted, and organized. You will also record and communicate any special requests or issues from guests to the appropriate departments, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions. Answering inquiries about hotel services, local attractions, and providing travel directions will be part of your daily interactions with guests. Accurate check-out procedures are essential, and you will communicate guest departures to housekeeping staff. You will compute bills, collect payments, make change, and handle deposits according to Kinseth Hospitality Companies' cash handling procedures. Making, confirming, and canceling reservations through various channels, as well as managing internal and external phone calls, will also be part of your responsibilities. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the hotel lobby and front desk area is vital, as is following all company policies and procedures outlined in the KHC handbook and Front Desk Procedure Manual. You will be expected to uphold a professional image and report to work as scheduled, ensuring that all interactions with guests reflect the high standards of Kinseth Hospitality Companies.
