The primary responsibility of the Guest Service Specialist is to provide an elevated customer experience to all JUUT guests while performing front desk duties in accordance with JUUT's performance and service standards. Starting as an In-Training specialist, you will progress through Studio, Senior, and Master levels as you learn and master key tasks and responsibilities. This role emphasizes ensuring positive, uplifting experiences for all customers, being a resource to guests, artists, and therapists, and upholding Juut's Daymaker philosophy.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Some exposure to salon, cosmetics, hospitality, or retail business preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Training provided.
  • Career growth opportunities available.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival with the appropriate welcome for new or returning guests.
  • Check-in guests, give salon tours to new Juut guests, and offer add-on appointments following their scheduled appointment.
  • Escort guests to the waiting area, hang up coats if necessary, and offer beverages to all guests and Daymaker books to new guests.
  • Perform confirmation calls to guests and offer add-on services during the call.
  • Check out guests by ringing service tickets, closing out sales of retail products, suggesting fitting products, pre-booking next appointments, and performing proper goodbyes.
  • Answer incoming guest calls, book appointments with the proper artist or therapist, capture guest data completely and accurately, and offer add-on appointments while upselling booked appointments.
  • Make follow-up calls to new guests within 24 hours of their visit to Juut.
  • Stock retail shelves as necessary when products are low or when retail product orders are delivered.
  • Clean retail shelves on a regular basis.
  • Maintain product knowledge, continuous product education, and the ability to answer product questions as a resource for guests.
  • Monitor and refill beverage station items, keeping the area clean and stocked.
  • Organize magazines throughout the salon to be in order and easily accessible to guests.
  • Clean bathrooms and restock supplies and containers.
  • Perform salon cleaning as determined by management.
  • Know the artists at the salon location, including services provided, specialties, and levels.
  • Reschedule appointments when necessary, block artist time in the computer system, and distribute gratuities.
  • Handle cash, including bank deposits.
  • Work during opening and closing hours.
  • Attend all training, education, and meetings/huddles as required.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain professionalism in demeanor, communication, and dress, including following the proper dress code with professional-looking hair and makeup.
