The Front Desk position at our hotel requires a candidate with Marriott experience preferred and Fosse experience is a plus. The role involves registering and assigning rooms to guests, issuing room keys, and providing escort instructions to the Guest Service Agent or directly to guests. The candidate will also be responsible for sorting and tracking incoming mail and messages, transmitting and receiving messages using all communication avenues, and answering inquiries related to hotel services, guest registration, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Additionally, the candidate will keep records of room availability and rates, compute bills, collect payments, and make changes for guests. The role includes making, confirming, and canceling reservations through various communication channels, posting charges to guest bills, and making reservations for transportation or entertainment for guests. The candidate will also deposit guest valuables in the hotel safe deposit box and must have a full working knowledge of each shift, including night audit. A comprehensive knowledge of the English language is essential for effective communication with guests, associates, and vendors.
