About The Position

The Guest Services Agent provides a friendly, welcoming, and caring greeting to each person entering Essentia Health. The agent anticipates visitor needs by offering and giving assistance, answering questions, and escorting or securing an escort for patients and visitors when appropriate. The agent provides information and/or has knowledge of the Essentia campus and additional resources regarding our facilities. The agent also provides valet services by safely operating and transporting vehicles belonging to patients and visitors on Essentia Health property and public streets. Prevents traffic congestion by directing traffic in front of the medical center.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 6 months of hire
• Must have valid driver's license and meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health’s insurer

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Microsoft Office programs
• Experience in an information/hospitality desk or customer service environment
• Ability to stay calm under pressure

Responsibilities

• Safely operates and parks patient and visitor vehicles in designated parking areas
• Provides general information and directions to employees, patients, and visitors at Essentia facilities and parking areas
• Secures wheelchairs for patients and visitors
• Assists people coming into the facility and may direct and escort patients
• Reports emergencies and requests responders
• Enters patient/visitor information into tracking database for valet services
• Acts as a source of information for staff, patients, and visitors
• Emergency assistance for security team
• Answers and responds to internal and external calls
