About The Position

Physical demands include the ability to lift 50 pounds and work outside in inclement weather.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Cash handling experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate a ride that simulates motion.
• Ability to work outside in inclement weather.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome each guest to COSI, providing a positive first impression.
• Encourage guests to become COSI Members or purchase add-on tickets.
• Provide information to guests regarding programs, demos, shows, hours of operation, and admission costs.
• Distribute amenities and perform sales at a concierge desk.
• Direct guests in person and over the telephone.
• Perform daily check-in of all reserved groups.
• Maintain a safe environment while operating COSI's Motion Simulator.
• Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift.
• Adhere to service and sales standards outlined by COSI.
• Staff entrance to traveling exhibit galleries to provide guest service and sell tickets.
• Assist guests during special events.
• Provide immediate assistance during emergency situations.
• Serve as a role model for other team members and volunteers.
• Support training and evaluation of Volunteer Team Members.
• Participate in meetings to support general COSI operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
